Riddles infest my burdened, insomniatic mind
Watching, the fly upon my wall, how bored
It must be, peering down at a dented bed,
Then wondering, why not find a more appealing scene,
Am I that entertaining, swimming in misery
Of the mocking tick coming from my bedside clock,
There goes another hour, debating the shit eater,
And just like previous night’s, I’m consumed
By the deep labyrinths that I, trapped myself in,
Until, there came a knock upon my door,
Not the front, but my chamber door,
Despite its haunting peculiarality, I opened it
Finding only an empty hallway, dark and cold,
Silence echoes through, this eerie vacant hall
With my heavy breath fogging my surroundings,
Chilled whispers reach out for me from behind,
I back in, to my chamber seeking for what has crept
Through my gates, and into my unrest,
I feel my entire body, tense up from a horrid chill
Pulsing me up against the far wall,
And then, it appeared to me, in the mist of my breath,
My floating demon, keeping me from dreamscape,
Jumped, into my chaos within, amplifying it,
Until I imploded, forever asleep.
What is normal to the fly,
Is chaos for the spider.
Who are you?
What do you feel within, burning
At your chest,
Branded from the stalking voice
Parading in parts of you, undiscovered,
You don’t decide, you are the evil
That was before you,
Seen in the shadows of past,
Or good, shining through armour
But, are you too afraid
To show your valor?
Hoping for a different twist in the story.
Escape the confines that keep you
Walking the straight line,
Along masses of a robotic mundane march
To the pits, where you’re set
Never to leave those gates,
Plastered to the depths of normality.
But why build those walls?
Why put yourself out from calm
And shallow travels
Into the disturbing depths
That swallow you in shattered pieces
You, yourself ripped into,
Why marinate in bitterness?
Why dive into the metamorphosis
In which you don’t recognize
When looking into the reflection below,
Why sit, with a tight fist around
Your vacant sound, trapped
In that dark abyss, your throat,
To talk, is to slit your gullet
Then it kills you, leaves you
On the scavenge shores,
Where the black gull swoops down,
And meets your sunken eye,
Why put yourself into torment?
Because pain is who you’re in love with,
He barged in, unexpectedly
When you were most vulnerable
To its spike, that carved deeper
The more you closed up,
It sank you from the collision with
It’s stern, looking down the rabbit hole,
That’s where we lost you,
Because we stopped looking
For all those small, scattered pieces.
How much he has said
To his love, can’t amount
To what has betrayed his heart,
Those words, never able to
Capture, what stirs in the fire,
Daunting, are those beautiful
Silent moments when nothing is said
When in fact, everything
Is gushing out from all edges
Of emotion, when they drift in each other.
Do you agree?
Does it go on when the terror inside
When you bleed into the glass
Stuck, in the glacier, crushing you
From the inside,
Does it go on?
Sure it does, only how much
Of the avalanche can you bear?
How do you deal with your monster?
Do you cling to the Jekyll moment
Praying for the hulk of your emotion
To subside in the tepid sun,
The monster, drags it’s fingernails
Along your fragile glass, scraping
A design of madness
To the answer rattling, in your hand,
A potion syntaxed in the nothingness
Of insomnia, the dying light
Lost of rage,
Rest in peace.
You can spill blood of a tongue,
Onto the simple page
Blankly reaching for a pair of eyes,
Vacant of color and luster,
You can betray the fleeting sea
By sinking the shallow ship,
Shine light, upon the hidden corner
That has been lost in the murk
And no ship will sink,
No page will be left alone.
